This build is an homage to Maine’s rich history of being a place of relaxation and retreat. It is also a replica of my grandparents lakeside camp. Known as “the cottage” this camp (see last photo) has served as a place of fun, relaxation, holiday celebrations since the early 1970s and for four generations of my family.
